Kitten

Found this kitten underneath my void deck last week. Very cute right. But haven't seen it for the past 2 days. Wonder where has it been. Hope its alright.

NY Clique @ Hangout

The NY Clique is a group of my 1st 3 months JC classmates. It's quite amazing actually i would say. Despite being a first 3 months class, we're still together. If you ask around, most would tell you that their 1st 3 months class is long long gone. No more in contact. However, this is not so for mine. For the past 5 years, we have regualr class outings. BBQ at Qihui's place is a must. And not forgetting our annual hotel stay where we drink till the cow comes home. This year, under Xianjing's recommendation, we stayed at this hotel/hostel called "Hangout @ Mt. Emily".

The road to Mt Emily was no easy task. First you have to alight at Peace centre, the walk towards Sophia road and then into wilkie road. Walk walk walk walk for the next 20 mins uphill and there u have it - Hangout @ Mt. Emily haha. By thenwe would have been 1/2 dead if not 3/4.

At first glance, many would be disappointed. No tv and no fridge. What kind of hotel is this. But the decor and the modernised furniture more than made up for it. It's not those kind of sleezy hotel. Rather, its more of a hostel for international students. The furnitures are simple yet elegant. No clutter and no mess. Really just a simple hostel but it feels right at home.

After we've finish looking around the room, we set off for Plaza Singapura for dinner. Just nice, 6 of us managed to squeeze inside leslie's BMW haha. Xianjing and Leslie were in front with the rest of us at the rear. Had the famous Indonesian BBQ Sotong at the PS food court. Wow, its really very power. Got to try it again someday.

Met up with Wanhua, William, Guanhua (Guni), Lingfong and Huijun. After that we headed back to the hotel for more games and whisky haha. Took a few group photos. Dunno why but looks a lot like family photo haha. Of course over the years we got addition to the family like William, Lingfong and Meihua lol.

So it's back to the whisky and stuff haha. Played our traditional game of Indian poker and black jack. Terrible. The losers ended up drinking full cups of pure whisky coz each person just need to add 1 shot of whisky to the forfeit and whala, we have a full cup of whisky on a small little rock. No surprise that in the end we finished the whole bottle of Chivas by 1am. Actually Guanhua also brought another bottle of Jim Bean Whisky haha. But since we decided not to get dead drunk this year, we shall leave it to next year's drinking session.

Oh yah, while we were walking around the area, we found this place at the rooftop. It's sort of like a mini gathering area with tables and chairs, and a small pool to add to the atmosphere. The lightings at the centre of the rooftop area also gave it a nice feeling. Dun really know how to describe it but yah, it's just plain nice. The people that made this place sure has taste.

So back to drinking, by the end of our Chivas, can see wanhua is dead drunk. So the gossip session begins and we shared each other's lives, how we have been, any 劲爆 news. Break 了吗? and stuff haha.

So we talked till about 7am then took a short nap and woke up at 8 plus in the morning to prepare for check out. Guess by next year most of the girls will be working. It'll be quite hard to get everyone to stay over le... Sigh... But nonetheless, we had fun and hope that not too long in the future, we'll have our next outing again - I predict KTV again haha...

101 Ways to have fun in NUSSU Sec

Had a rag committee retreat on Wednesday. Was quite amazed by the amout of things we can do in NUSSU Secretariat. We totally went whacked lol. Played Limbo using 2 chairs and a pole. Click play to view the limbo in the Secretariat.

We also played golf and pool using a stick and a golf ball. Aim is to hit the ball into a cup tied to the ground using masking tape. Really really hilarious. It's amazing how boredem can drive people to do weird things haha.

We also play volley ball in the secretariat. No, not ur average volleyball, but volley-"ball". The ball is made of crushed paper u see haha. No matter what it seems that people are really enjoying themselves. Oh yah, chateh was the same principle. Except the chateh is made up of feathers from the secretariat feather-duster and Ken Pan's eraser haha.

Wat's a stayover if there isn't anything called the MAHJONG haha. Eh, before u make any assumptions, no we didnt make the tiles ourselves haha. Yes, Wenhui brought the tiles from home. We played Mahjong for a while only as it was time for supper haha.

While the girls are playing Mahjong, the rest of us played Daidee but with a twist. We called it the asshole daidee as there are some additional rules that gives it its asshole characteristics haha. Dun worry, there's nothing R-rated bout it. I shall tell you the rules when i have the chance to play with anyone of you guys lol.

As the night went on, we played many many different games such as Uno, Balderdash (the card game Janus borrowed from Zk) and many table games. Kinda having fun. I guess if next time there is another retreat, i wouldn't mind going.

Oh yah, caught Wenhui with the Witch Hat haha. The Witch hat is suppose to be the one of the parts of the Mascot for her OG. Kinda cool huh. ^-^

Another Tiring week

Another tiring week i must say. Had filming for the Union Camp video on Monday. Went to Munchie Monkey at 7pm for the shoot. I played the waiter at munchie lol. Think they liked me so much the waiters there recognise me le hahah. One of them even came up to say hi when i was having lunch there the next day haha. Wonder if i'll get a job there next time hahaha.

Yup, tuesday as usual is my badminton day. Janus, weihao and i met up almost every tuesday morning for badminton in school. After that we went to munchie monkey for lunch. Had the meatball baked pasta there haha.. Yum yum. I just love the new baked pasta menu. After lunch was LAN gaming with Janus, Weihao, my brother and my 2 cousins. Really miss the carefree days where we just dun care about anything and have fun. Stayed over at janus' place to watch Gundam SEED Destiny and Sponge Bob Square Pants the movie. Gundam SEED Destiny as usual is very addictive and nice haha. Spongebob is really a lame show lah... Watch le will drop IQ haha. But we still watched it anyway to have a good laugh.

Wednesday as usual, meetings meetings and more meetings.

Thurs day went out with Janus and Weihao for a swim. After that we went Sizzlers for dinner. The chicken with smoked salmon is very very very very nice hahaha. Really. It's really that good. But as for the salad bar, it has somehow dropped standard by a little. But nonetheless, it's still a great meal. Oh yah, after the swim, my sunburnt skin started to peel haha. A bit like kena some contagious disease like that haha.

Yeah, Friday is the day. Went to Kranji camp for my reservice briefing. Was posted to 428 SAR (428th Battalion of Singapore Armoured Regiment). Saw my old camp mates. Some of them changed drastically and some still remained the same haha. But it's really a good feeling to see all the guys again. After that went with Lionel and Augustine for dinner at Subway Raffle City. Subway is still the best fast food ever haha. But it's kinda sad that they now dun have horse-raddish sauce le hahaha.

Went bowling with my relatives on Saturday at Orchid Country Club. Think they should hire me lor haha coz I keep "clearing drain" for them haha. Haiz, must seriously improve my bowling skills. It's just plain terrible haha. Later that night went with janus, weihao, zengkun, melvyn and weihao's gf to eat Punggol Nasi Lemak. The nasi lemak was quite nice but the fried oyster is kinda disappointing lor. We're like "wat is this" hahaha...

Sunday went to church at Christ the King. Went for my first session of RCIY (Rites of Christian Initiation for Youths) with my cousin, Amabel. She was going for her baptism and i am going for my confirmation (long overdued). Kinda werid feeling coz we're one of the oldest people around. The rest are kids who are taking their O levels and stuff. Feel kinda out of place actually haha. But think if we join RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults), it would even be worse haha. So i guess we'll still stick with RCIY then lol.

Busy Week

Phew, really a busy week this week. Went to Haw Par Villa at 3pm on Wed for Union Camp Fright Night pre-camp. Planned and checked out the routes there. Kinda nice atmosphere but the councillors would really need to brush up on their stations to make it a fright night with an impact. Left the place at about 1030pm after we have tested the stations and took down the timings needed for each station. Took Janus' car together with ChuiJia, Jessie, Amy and Jade. Wow, nearly lost my life twice hahaha. First Janus nearly hit a lorry behind when he did a last minute filter into a flyover hahaha... Everyone in the car screamed when we saw the lorry approaching. Second was when Janus missed the left turn at a junction near Kallang Bahru and almost stopped in the middle of a junction. Hmm, guess this would be as good or even better than a fright night. My heart nearly stopped haha.

Next day Thurs, was downstairs buying lunch when i came across this interesting pack of tissue haha. I found the TOMB RADAR tissue along with other funny pictures like TATINIC and ANIMAL STORY at a provision shop haha. Maybe should buy a pack and show it to Zhiwei and Felix. Think they'll be rather interested.

Thursday night, went with Janus, Weehou and Zengkun to watch Hitchhikers' guide to the Galaxy. Kinda comical i guess, but there are deviations from the book. I still think the book is much nicer since most of the funny part really came from the naration inside the book. Furthermore there are many parts that were omitted and some cheesey scences being included. Although funny, it's not really a nice adaption.

After the movie, the 4 of us went to Maesto Bistro at level 2 cineleisure to buy ice-cream haha. The ice-cream there is really good. $3.50 for a single scoop and $4.80 for double. THe caramel and triple-chocolate are so heavenly that its almost sinful.

Oh by the way, i got back my results on Thurs. Nothing spectacular, no As and luckily no Cs. Just in the range of Bs and B+. Overall CAP improved by 0.05. Sigh, thought i would do better cause for last sem i actually took an effort to bid for those able-to-score-well-modules. In the end, i just got normalised grades for it. Kinda sad, was actually counting on this sem to really give my CAP a boost. But well, i guess a little improvement is better than nothing at all ^-^

Next day was non-stop sunning. Spent the whole day in sentosa prepareing for Wargames and Beach-games pre-camp. At the end of the day, was totally sunburnt. And it's not the end, i still had a union camp debrief session and another Rag & Flag after that. After all the mahem and havoc, left school at about 1140pm. Wah lao, by then no bus le, so no choice took cab with Gavin, Jessie, Janus and Joy. Really tiring day.

Next day (sat), went to school early int he morning at 9am for Cluedo and Pool-games precamp. same thing as the previous pre camps. prepare and test out the games. Busy busy busy. After that joined Brandon, my brother, Valentine and Melvyn for dinner at Seoul Garden. A bit sick of it le but since they suggested it, then i dun mind lor. After that went to play LAN game at Paya Lebar Grand Link Square before we headed to my uncle's place to stay over for the big day tomorrow - Paint ball warfare hahaha.

Woke up 630am in the morning, brush teeth, ate breakfast and we set off to Jurong Discovery centre. Played paint ball there. We used modified M16-carbine to shoot the paint pallets. Kinda painful. Even got bruise marks on my leg and hand when the pallet hits you. At the end of the day, my team won with a score of 28 against 22. Althoug fun, it was tiring and i scratched my arm while doing leopard crawl hahaha...

After Paintball, we washed up and had pizza at the Discovery Centre food court. As discovery centre was closed, the only stall that was open was Sarprino's Pizzeria. Was skeptical about the quality of the pizza there at first, but heard the management of the paintball game said it was very good. So decided to give it a shot. First came the Tandoori Chicken wings. It was heavenly. Sweet, sour and hot just nice. Yum yum. I was delighted with the first bite. Then came the baked pasta which was equally good. Lastly the pizza which was cheesy and filled with ingredients. Later on i discovered that they have another 2 outlets in the east side of singapore. Guess, the next time we go janus' place for stayover, we could try it.

After the long and tiring day, Brandon, Valentine, my brother and i went to play LAN game again hahaha.

So this is a summary of wat happened in the past week haha. Was sunburnt again and again for 3 consecutive days. Now, my skin is peeling...eeeks... Just hope everything peels off soon hahaha...
