Was casually browsing through the iTunes music store few months ago when i happen to stumble upon this podcast called Dave's Lounge. Its a podcast that feature songs from non-mainstream musicians (independent musicians whom dun sign up with record labels but instead produce their own songs). The genres that the podcast consisted of are down-tempo, trip-hop, electronic and chill-out tunes. At first i was skeptical. How can any podcast contain any decent music. However, upon hearing what it had to offer, i was hooked. COMPLETELY. This was the genres that i was looking for. For years, i had been searching high and low for the music which i really liked. But none seem to click perfectly. That is until now. Now i have a direction. I know which genres i truely love. There are plenty of artist out there with good music that we don't hear on our radio. Its a pity. But yet it gives a sense of exclusivity, that this is my music. Mine alone, and no one elses. Well, if you want to have a go at these genres, you can look for dave's lounge in the iTunes music store. Its free for download btw. Or you can go to www.daveslounge.com to take a look.
Recently update certain sections of my blog. Under the "In my Ipod" section, i've listed some songs which i'm currently listening to. You probably wouldnt have heard of them, but they're awesome albums. I've placed one of my fav tracks up on the blog for listening. Hope you guys like it.
